In fact, Additional Sessions Judge Harjyot Singh Bhalla, who is hearing the case, granted bail to Shankar Mishra on a surety of Rs 1 lakh.
What was the whole matter?
In fact, Shankar Mishra is accused of urinating on a woman in an Air India flight coming from New York to Delhi under the influence of alcohol. Opposing the bail plea of the accused in this case, it was said on behalf of the police that India has been insulted internationally by this act of the accused. In this case, Shankar Mishra was arrested from Bengaluru.
Case registered under various sections
Police has registered a case against him under 354,294,509,510 IPC. Taking cognizance of this incident, the airline company has banned the accused for four months.
The woman had complained after a month
Let me tell you, after the incident on 20 November, the committee was formed on 24 December 2022. In this case, about a month later, the complainant emailed N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, the parent company of Air India, narrating his ordeal. He had also lodged a complaint on December 20 on the Airseva portal of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
How Shankar came into the custody of the police
The police had registered a case against the accused under section 354,294,509,510 of the IPC. Accused Shankar Mishra was absconding since the report was filed. Delhi Police was busy tracing the location to find Shankar Mishra. The last location of the accused was found in Bengaluru, on the basis of which he was traced, from where he was arrested.
