If your flight ticket is downgraded, the airline will not be fine, you will get compensation, DGCA changed the rules

DGCA-Airlines Rules: DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has tightened the reins on the airlines. At the same time, air passengers have been given more rights. Now, in case of downgrading of tickets, the airlines will have to pay compensation to the passengers.

DGCA-Airlines Rules: Airlines have been in headlines continuously in the past, that too for wrong reasons. In some incidents, there has been a decrease from the airlines, and somewhere the behavior of the passengers has surprised the people. But the aviation regulator DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has tightened the reins on the airlines so that the passengers do not face problems regarding flight tickets. At the same time, air passengers have been given more rights. Now, in case of downgrading of tickets, the airlines will have to pay compensation to the passengers. That is, if the airlines ask a passenger to travel in a lower class than the class in which he has a ticket, then he will have to reimburse the ticket money to the passenger. This rule will come into effect from February 15.

DGCA changed the rules

The aviation regulator has made changes in Series M Part IV of Section-3 of the Civil Aviation Requirement (CAR). In this, there is a provision of facilities for refusing passengers for boarding, canceling the flight or delaying the flight. DGCA said that these changes have been made to give more rights to air passengers in case of downgrading of their tickets. After this amendment, passengers will have the right that if their ticket is downgraded without their approval, that is, they are given a lower class ticket than the class in which they had bought the ticket, then the airlines will have to refund the ticket to that passenger. Money will have to be reimbursed.
