Autoflight Prosperity 4: This electric aircraft flew 250 km in a single charge, set a new world record

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth more than Rs 3600 crore. The new airport has been built at a cost of about Rs 450 crore.


Foundation stone laid for schemes worth ₹3600 crore

The passenger terminal building of the airport can handle 300 passengers per hour. Officials said that the airport is expected to improve connectivity and accessibility to Shivamogga and other neighboring areas. In total, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth more than Rs 3,600 crore here.


Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Yeddyurappa were also present on this occasion. Modi said that unlike the previous governments, the current government's emphasis is on setting up airports in small towns as well. Till the year 2014 i.e. after independence, there were only 74 airports in the country, but in the last nine years, 74 new airports have been built.
