This is the fifth consecutive month when IndiGo's market share has decreased. In the last month, Indigo served 68.47 lakh passengers.


In August last year, Indigo's market share in the domestic market was 59.72 percent. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) data, more complaints were received in the month under review than in December regarding problems in flights, baggage issues and staff behavior.


How much stake of which airline


Air India and Vistara's domestic flights carried 11.55 lakh and 11.05 lakh passengers respectively in January. Their market share was 9.2 percent and 8.8 percent respectively. In the month under review, the total number of passengers of GoFirst, offering low-cost services, was 10.53 lakh, while the number of passengers of AirAsia India was 9.30 lakh. During this period, 9.14 people traveled by SpiceJet flights.


Domestic flights of Tata group airlines…Air India, Vistara and AirAsia India collectively carried 32.30 lakh passengers in January. Their market share was 26 percent.
